2012 Winemaker's Reserve Pinot Noir
Derived from the French words for pine and black; the pine referring to the berries having tightly clustered, pine cone-shaped bunches of fruit.
Tasmania is reputed as Australia’s premier Pinot Noir growing region and our 2012 Winemaker’s Reserve Pinot Noir is from the Huon Valley, Tasmania. This wine is showing lovely complex aged characters with soft tannins and is drinking at its optimum now. Duck and Pinot are a favourite food and wine pairing. However, it is wonderful with venison, veal, stews and tomato based pastas.
